ECOCRETE™ Alkali Resistant Glass Fiber

100% inorganic, alkali-resistant reinforcement for longer-lasting concrete and GRC.

What is Alkali Resistant Glass Fiber?

Alkali Resistant Glass Fiber (AR glass) is a 100% inorganic fiber engineered for cementitious environments. It offers excellent alkali resistance, strong interfacial grip, high elastic modulus, and very high tensile/bending/impact strength, with non-flammability, frost resistance and robust anti-crack/anti-seepage performance. It is easy to mold and design into thin, light yet strong components for modern construction.

ECOCRETE™ Alkali Resistant Glass Fiber is a high-modulus, non-flammable, alkali-stable reinforcement for concrete and mortar. It provides strong bonding, excellent crack control and water-tightness, while resisting temperature and humidity swings—ideal for precast panels, GRC/GFRC, tunnels, waterworks and durable repair systems.

Key Benefits of Alkali Resistant Glass Fiber

  1. High Modulus, High Strength: Improves bending/tensile/impact capacity and load transfer in thin sections and overlays.
  2. Crack & Seepage Control: Bridges shrinkage and service cracks; enhances water-tightness and durability.
  3. Built for Cement Alkalinity: AR composition (ZrO₂ 16.7%) resists alkali attack for long service life.
  4. Non-flammable & Weather-Resistant: Stable through temperature/humidity swings; frost-resistant.
  5. Pumpable, Mix-Friendly: Uniform mixing efficiency, low water demand; high dosages do not compromise processability when properly mixed.

Applications of Alkali Resistant Glass Fiber

  1. GRC/GFRC & Precast: façade panels, claddings, thin shells, lightweight boards, pipes and slabs.
  2. Water & Municipal: dams, channels, tanks, reservoirs, river revetments, piers/abutments.
  3. Underground & Tunnels: mine/tunnel walls and crowns, shotcrete repair, anti-seepage linings.
  4. Infrastructure: highways, energy projects, bridge components and durable overlays.
  5. Buildings: basements, interior/exterior walls, roof systems; military protection and coastal works.

How to Use & Recommended Practice

  • Mixing: Add aggregates → dose Alkali Resistant Glass Fiber → add cement → add water/admixtures; mix to full dispersion. Maintain target workability with proper water-reducing agents. (Good pumpability reported.)

  • Design Notes: Select length by section thickness and placement method (12/20 mm for thin sections and finishes; 36 mm for deeper crack-bridging). Conduct a trial mix to confirm workability and finishing with your local materials.

Packaging & Logistics

  • Inner Packs: 1–5 kg PE bags
  • Outer Packs: 10–25 kg woven bag or carton
  • Palletization: ≈ 500 kg/pallet
  • 20′ Container: ≈ 10 t (≈1 t/pallet, 10 pallets)
