ECOCRETE™ Mesh Polypropylene Fiber

Micro-mesh crack control for durable, watertight, and tougher concrete.

What is Mesh Polypropylene Fiber?

Mesh Polypropylene Fiber is a concrete reinforcement fiber made from virgin PP. Its filaments are inter-connected in a mesh structure that separates rapidly under mixing shear, creating countless micro-bridges to control plastic and drying shrinkage, enhance fatigue resistance, and increase tensile performance—without corroding or wearing equipment.

ECOCRETE™ Mesh Polypropylene Fiber (PP mesh fiber) opens into a dense, three-dimensional mesh during mixing, bridging micro-cracks and improving crack control, toughness, and water-tightness. Ideal for industrial floors, pavements, tunnels, waterworks and precast elements.

Key Benefits of Mesh Polypropylene Fiber

  1. Crack Control: Reduces plastic and drying shrinkage cracking; lowers crack width and density.
  2. Durability & Anti-Seepage: Improves water-tightness; resists chemicals and corrosion.
  3. Toughness & Fatigue: Enhances post-crack behavior, impact and fatigue resistance.
  4. Fast Dispersion & Easy Mixing: Mesh opens quickly into many filaments; uniform distribution, no balling.
  5. Lightweight & Non-Conductive: No rusting; friendly to pumps and mixers.

Applications of Mesh Polypropylene Fiber

  1. Industrial floors & pavements: warehouses, bridge decks, airport aprons, factory slabs
  2. Tunnels & mining: linings, walls, crown/roof shotcrete (reduced rebound)
  3. Water & municipal works: channels, dams, tanks, anti-seepage structures
  4. Precast components: pipes, panels, manholes, modular parts
  5. Sports grounds & landscaping bases

How to Use & Recommended Dosage

  • Typical crack control in slabs/mortar: 0.6–1.5 kg/m³ (micro-mesh)
  • High crack-control / surface finish: up to 2.0 kg/m³ depending on spec
  • Hybrid strategy (for slabs): Combine Mesh Polypropylene Fiber 0.4–0.6 kg/m³ with Twisted Bundle PP Fiber 1.0–1.5 kg/m³ to bridge both micro- and macro-cracks efficiently.
  • Mixing order: Aggregates → fiber → cement → water/admixture → mix to full dispersion; adjust water/superplasticizer to target slump.

FAQs — Mesh Polypropylene Fiber

A: The inter-connected mesh opens into many filaments during mixing, forming a dense micro-reinforcement network for superior early crack control and surface finish.

A: Yes—mesh PP fiber helps decrease rebound and pipeline abrasion in shotcrete applications.

A: No—PP mesh fiber is non-corrosive and non-absorbing, suitable for chemically aggressive environments.

A: Standard 19–60 mm; other lengths can be customized.

A: Yes—hybrid dosing (mesh + twisted bundle) is recommended for slabs needing both surface crack control and post-crack toughness.
