ECOCRETE™ Synthetic PP Macrofiber

Steel-free, corrosion-proof reinforcement for tougher, more durable concrete.

What is Synthetic PP Macrofiber?

Synthetic PP Macrofiber is a flat, embossed polypropylene macrofiber engineered for high-strength concrete. It improves tensile performance, impact resistance and long-term durability while remaining lightweight, non-corrosive and chemically resistant. Compared with steel fibers or mesh, it offers easier handling, no rust, no conductivity and zero wear to mixers/pumps.

ECOCRETE™ Synthetic PP Macrofiber is a high-performance polypropylene reinforcement designed to control cracking and boost post-crack toughness in concrete, shotcrete and UHPC. It disperses uniformly, adds impact/fatigue resistance, and eliminates corrosion risk—ideal for floors, pavements, tunnels and precast.

Key Benefits of Synthetic PP Macrofiber

  1. Crack Mitigation: Bridges plastic/drying shrinkage cracks and reduces crack widths for better service life.
  2. Toughness & Impact: Raises post-crack load capacity, flexural strength, impact and fatigue resistance.
  3. Corrosion-Proof & Chemically Inert: No rusting, non-conductive, excellent alkali/acid resistance—perfect for marine/chemical facilities.
  4. Low Density, Easy Handling: Lightweight, fast to dose and uniformly disperses; friendly to pumps and mixers.
  5. Cost-Effective Alternative to Steel: Cuts corrosion risk and maintenance; in many crack-control specs it can partially replace secondary steel mesh (follow engineer’s design).

Applications of Synthetic PP Macrofiber

  1. Industrial Floors & Pavements: abrasion-resistant hardeners, logistics & warehouse slabs
  2. Shotcrete: tunnels, mines, culverts, slope stabilization (lower rebound vs. steel)
  3. UHPC & High-Strength Concrete: improved ductility and energy absorption
  4. Roads & Bridges: overlays, parapets, barriers, decks
  5. Precast Elements: pipes, panels, manholes, modular components
  6. Water & Municipal Works: tanks, canals, anti-seepage structures, wastewater plants

How to Use & Recommended Dosage

  • General crack control (slabs/mortar): 1.0–2.0 kg/m³
  • Heavy-duty slabs / pavements: 2.0–4.0 kg/m³
  • Shotcrete / high toughness requirement: 3.0–6.0 kg/m³
  • Mixing procedure: Add aggregates → dose Synthetic PP Macrofiber → add cement → add water/admixtures → mix to full dispersion; adjust water-reducing agent to target slump/workability.
  • Design note: For surface micro-crack control + post-crack toughness, consider a hybrid with PP mesh/monofilament (micro) + Synthetic PP Macrofiber (macro).

FAQs — Synthetic PP Macrofiber

A: For many crack-control applications it can partially replace secondary steel mesh, eliminating corrosion and simplifying placement. Follow the structural engineer’s design for load-bearing elements.

A: Slightly. Use proper mixing time and water-reducers to maintain target workability; macrofibers disperse uniformly with correct sequence.

A: Standard 30/40/50/60 mm, with custom lengths on request.

A: Yes. PP macrofiber is non-corrosive with excellent alkali/acid resistance and zero water absorption.

A: Yes—inner PE bags 1–10 kg, outer 10–25 kg, pallets ≈1.2 t; we can tailor to site workflow.
