ECOCRETE™ Cellulose Fiber

Plant-based, hydrophilic micro-reinforcement for tighter, more durable concrete.

What is Cellulose Fiber?

Cellulose Fiber is a next-generation, plant-based concrete fiber. Because fibrils come from natural cell division, the surface texture creates strong mechanical interlock with the matrix, acting as countless micro-bridges that inhibit crack initiation and growth. The result is better early-age crack control, improved impermeability and enhanced resistance to freeze–thaw cycles—without corrosion risk.

ECOCRETE™ Cellulose Fiber is produced from selected cold-region plants through specialized chemical and mechanical processing. Naturally hydrophilic with high specific surface area, it grips cement paste strongly to restrain micro-cracks and improve freeze–thaw resistance and water-tightness in concrete and mortar.

Key Benefits of Cellulose Fiber

  1. Crack Control & Anti-Seepage — High surface area and hydrophilicity create strong interfacial bonding to restrain plastic/drying shrinkage and reduce permeability.
  2. Freeze–Thaw Durability — Enhances resistance to cyclic freezing environments in hydraulic and cold-region works.
  3. Eco-Friendly — Plant-based, non-toxic, and compatible with green specifications.
  4. Easy Mixing — Short cuts disperse quickly; no corrosion, no equipment wear.
  5. Cost-Efficient Micro-Network — Millions of micro-filaments bridge micro-cracks without changing placement methods.

Applications of Cellulose Fiber

  1. Water Conservancy: dams, aqueducts, channels, water facilities (anti-seepage and freeze–thaw performance).
  2. Rail & Tunnels: bridges, tunnels, ballastless track systems.
  3. Industrial & Civil: basements and other underground structures.
  4. Marine: sea-crossing bridges, port and quay structures.
  5. Other Infrastructure: highways and energy projects.

How to Use & Recommended Dosage

  • Typical Dosage (concrete/mortar): 0.6–1.5 kg/m³ for general crack control; fine mortars/grouts can start at 0.6–1.0 kg/m³ (optimize by trial mix).
  • Mixing Order: Aggregates → Cellulose Fiber → cement → 70% water + admixtures → short wet-mix → add remaining water to target workability → mix to full dispersion.
  • Tips: Shorter lengths favor smooth finishes and pumpability; adjust superplasticizer to maintain slump/flow.

Packaging & Logistics

  • Inner Packs: 1–5 kg PE bags
  • Outer Packs: 10–25 kg woven bag or carton
  • Palletization: ≈ 500 kg/pallet
  • Lead Time: 5–10 days (typical)
