Renhe • Royal Garden – Parking Garage Floor

Crack-resistant, tough floors with Ecocrete™ Gray Twisted Bundle PP Fiber

Parking garage lanes with sprinkler/MEP pipes and clean saw-cut joints

Challenges & Solution

Shrinkage, Curling, Tire Abrasion — Managed

Early-age shrinkage:Twisted Bundle macro PP fibers distribute stresses and limit crack initiation during curing.

Edge durability: Added toughness protects joint arrises, ramp turns, and column pad corners from impact and steering loads.

Abrasion & staining: Macro fibers enhance abrasion resistance; surface densifiers/sealers (spec’d separately) lock in dust control and stain resistance.

Maintenance: Non-corrosive fibers reduce rust-related spalls; fewer cosmetic patches mean lower life-cycle costs for the property manager.

Tight Cracks, Crisp Joints, Lower Upkeep

Post-placement inspections noted narrow crack widths, sharp joint edges along drive lanes and ramps, and improved surface toughness against tire scuffing. The fiber solution supports longer maintenance intervals and consistent appearance for residents and visitors.

Project Overview

Cleaner Joints and Tougher Surfaces for Daily Traffic

The underground parking structure at Renhe • Royal Garden requires long-lasting, low-maintenance concrete floors under constant tire abrasion, occasional point loads, and temperature swings from ventilation cycles. To reduce plastic-shrinkage and add post-crack toughness without corrosion risk, the mix used Ecocrete™ Gray Twisted Bundle PP Fiber —a macro synthetic fiber with a hinge-rib profile that locks into the matrix. The interlocking network helps control shrinkage/temperature cracks, protects joint arrises, and improves impact and abrasion resistance.
